The We Are Samoa Gala is proud to be a platform that will benefit several initiatives that will serve the Pacific Islander Community through general education scholarships, performing arts scholarships, and continuing to build awareness on the burden of diabetes and heart disease on the Pacific Islander community.

  • General education scholarships for Pacific Islanders students (through the National Pacific Islander Network, 501c3) 
  • The Jerome Grey Performing Arts Fund to support Pacific Islander students pursuing a career in the arts 
  • Create awareness and build outreach programs for the Pacific Islander community on the importance of the burden of diabetes on our community

The Event Will Include  

Guests will be in for a real treat, because there will be no shortage of dynamic and high impact entertainment on this exciting evening.  
Some of your favorite local artists and from around the world will be travelling in to pay tribute to Mr. Jerome Grey through musical performances, dance, fashion, painting, and various other forms of art.  

Live Entertainment  

Special guests performances by Lapi Mariner, Gary King, Na Hoku Hanohano award winner Shawn Ishimoto, Gary King, American Idol contestant  Reno Anoa'i,  FAIVA, the award winning dance groups TUPUA  and TAMA'ITA'i .  And featuring the Polynesian fashion of designer Nancy Elizabeth.  

Live & Silent Auction  

Be prepared to witness a live painting demonstration by Sāmoan artist and muralist, Jason Pereira. The piece will be inspired by the NPIEN and We Are Samoa Gala mission, and will be bid for during a live auction that evening.   Guests will have an opportunity to bid for an array of uniquely packaged Silent Auction items throughout the evening.  

Honoring Our Pioneers 

We are moved by the contributions of the many Pacific Islander artists, musicians, and dancers who have blazed the trails of sharing our culture with the world through their art and are inspired to honor and recognize them for their impact in the world.
